Hello, I am Priyanka. I am wildlife biologist and conservation practitioner by profession, and enrolled currently as a Ph.D. Student in Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE). Apart from traditional courses like English, Math, Science, I can give additional knowledge to students about the real problems in this world including climate change, environment, biodiversity, urbanization, which will help shape their ideas in a practical way and will also help students get a clearer picture about their choices as an adult. I believe learning should not be limited only to textbooks, and should be more case study based which is my technique of teaching. I like to teach students textbook language with real life examples so that they can relate and the learning process is more exciting and enticing. From my lived experience as a student from State board, I certainly now know that only giving exercises to solve and projects won't help students. It is necessary to first understand the capacity of each student and thus all teaching techniques for me are student-specific.
