I am Dominique Jan Tan. I am a licensed Chemical Engineer in the Philippines. I earned my Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the top university in my country, and I am planning to pursue a doctorate degree abroad. I intend to pursue a formal academic or research career after graduate school. As of the time being, I am doing part-time job in various online tutoring sites for eight years now, and I am not slowing down in it. I enjoy teaching very much. I am thrilled at the feeling that students learn and understand concepts because of you. My style is always to guide patiently the students so they can eventually learn difficult concepts themselves and much more see how they are relevant to life. My passion as a tutor had given me opportunity to be recognized as the top tutor of the year in two straight years in 2021 and 2022 by a US-based tutoring site I have been connected with for quite a long time already. At days when I do not teach or tutor, I volunteer to help in our church ministries. Also, taking road trips especially during sunset time is usually my refreshment after a long busy day.
