Every teacher has her or his own style of teaching. And as traditional teaching styles evolve with the advent of differentiated instruction, more and more teachers are adjusting their approach depending on their students’ learning needs.1) Use Interactive visuals with students:Interactive visuals can bring the complex concepts into simplified things, so that I always prefer relate chemistry to everyday life.2) Learn through story line:Cognitive psychologist Jerome Bruner’s research suggests that people are 20 times more likely to remember facts if they’re part of a storySo, I believe this phycological fact very strongly.Stories are easy to remember because there’s context, and it’s fun.3) I used to help my students develop chemical imagination:Imagination and creativity aren’t just for the arts! Being a chemist involves hypothesizing, tinkering, and doodling chemical formulas. Help them develop this practice by encouraging them to use the scientific method.4) Questions for reflection:Finally, I used to ask the questions for level of understanding.
